Rol & Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting technical teams in the creation of application runbooks for mission critical applications. The resource needs experience in creating runbooks documenting the Application restoration process and procedures along with any supporting test plans and cases to ensure validation of the Application once restored.
The BSA/Technical Writer should be well versed on various Recovery and DR methodologies and should have exposure to Backup Tools in Windows/Unix/Linux Environments.
Additionally, BSA/TW will be responsible for any additional documentation to support the creation of the runbook. Successful candidate will collaborate with architects, infrastructure engineers, application teams, and business users in Mexico and across US
Technical: Tools and Skills
• Manage creation of runbooks (recovery dependencies, processes, and procedures) for mission critical banking applications.
• Work with various teams to support Application Recovery tests and validation of runbook documentation.
• Plan, design, and support the documentation process, including authoring new or improving on existing report templates.
• Integrating into existing documentation standards.
• Ensuring documentation can be utilized by a variety of resources who are required to support a successful application recovery.
• Ensuring stakeholder review and approval of written documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
• 3-5 years BSA/Tech Writer experience, specific with backup restorations and system build documentation or explicitly runbook design and documentation.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL or DB2 database documentation creation.
• Experience with the following: Unix, Linux, Windows, Net backup, TSM documentation.
• Expert in various Oracle/SQL/DB2 Recovery Technologies.
• Experience with Policy documentations including ability to support existing documentation standards and language.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
