The Mexico Head of Human Resources (HR) leads the function for the country in accordance with Citi policies / practices and local regulations. The position also provides comprehensive and strategic HR advisory to the Mexico CEO and Country Senior Management, in partnership with the Senior HR Leadership Team in Latin America, and leads the HR Team for the country.

The incumbent will be an active member of the Latin America Regional HR Leadership team and the Mexico Senior Management Team. The role is responsible to manage the relationship with Mexico local regulators, when it comes to HR related matters, and to lead and oversee the governance of HR Risk, Compliance and Controls in the country, ensuring adherence to Citi’s policies and local regulations, and being a member of corporate governance committees such as the CCC and BRCC.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide HR advice and support to the Mexico CEO and his/her senior management team, on all HR related matters, ensuring consistency with global and regional HR principles and practices.
Lead and inspire the country’s HR Team to provide best in class HR Support, in partnership with the rest of the HR Team in Latin America.
Responsible for the governance of Human Resources Risk, Compliance and Controls throughout the country.
Engage with regulators, as needed, and lead country HR & Business audits, on HR related matters.
Responsible to identify, document and monitor global, regional and local HR processes in the country, to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and that proper controls are in place to prevent operational, reputational, financial, regulatory and legal risks for Citi.
Work with the country senior management to embed a culture that promotes engagement, ethical conduct, healthy business / sales practices, diversity and inclusion.
Accountable for ensuring execution and delivery of employee life cycle activities and services (e.g. compensation, benefits, mobility, resourcing, L&D, diversity, talent etc.) in partnership with HR Advisors, HR Professional Services (HRPS), HR Services (HRSS) and Centers of Expertise (COEs).
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
15+ years of experience with solid experience in HR advisory roles, as a generalist or specialist in the function.
10+ years of experience in leadership roles, working and influencing at the executive management level.
Experience in emerging markets and track record of accomplishing in a highly complex and volatile environment.
Experience managing multiple countries or businesses and experience in a country role is desired.
Fully Bilingual: Spanish and English
