About our client
Our client is a global asset manager with more than US$500 billion AUM worldwide, with a significant presence in the industrial and retail real estate sectors throughout Mexico.
What the job involves
Oversee all financial and accounting reporting, including review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Act as the point person for managing day-to-day technical matters and addressing any questions on financial and accounting issues
Perform periodic desktop audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal controls
Work closely with business teams on acquisition/divestment transactions. Provide support on financial issues related to transaction execution and post close
Liaise with offshore teams and provide guidance on all technical issues related to the finances of the local Mexican operations
Oversee cash management activities including capital calls, distributions, payments, FX strategy and other related activities
Who we are looking for
Be a qualified accountant with strong people management skills
Possess a proven history of working to and achieving strict deadlines
Assert strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management
Display strong attention to detail
Possess strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions, with consideration for all downstream implications
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
