The Geo Marketing Manager Berlin is responsible for supporting local marketing efforts in Germany, with Berlin as a primary focus.
You are responsible for translating the EMEA marketing strategy, executing it and working with locals to optimize it throughout the year.
The perfect role for an individual who can leverage their own network, manage and develop cultural partnerships across gaming, music, sports and art.
The Geo Marketing Manager activates our brand at hyper local level, creating relevant connections with local communities.
Objectives of the role
Translate and localize EMEA marketing strategies (Campaign/Retail/PR/Social Media)
Leads “Brand Distinction” initiatives across Culture of Sports & Sneaker Culture in Berlin/Germany
Manages local partnerships across consumers passion points (fashion, music, food, art, sports, gaming, other)
Continually assess and capture local Sneaker Culture ecosystem in Berlin/Germany
Works in collaboration with EMEA market research to understand & act on consumer insights
Supports the execution of Vendor & Brand campaigns throughout all consumer touchpoints
Facilitates content creation (campaign based, event based, SOME)
Build community and execute shared experiences – in partnership with Local Change Agents
Supports on the development of programs and initiatives that grow and activate local Foot Locker VIP members
Maintain a regional calendar, including and not limited to: events, activations, collaborations and promotions
Manage local community field marketing budget and local activation agencies
Maintain consistent communication with local connectors and local product vendor personnel
Attend local experiences (local events, local networking mixtures, and competitor local activations for market insight)
Seed and develop relationships with key market
Create list of target customers and partners, according to local sneaker culture ecosystem assessment
Skills you bring to the table
Solid Marketing/Brand Activation experience in Berlin region
Inside knowledge of consumers in Berlin region and Germany as a whole
Ability to set up consistent communication with field operations
Facilitates idea-generation, buying and implementation planning of all marketing efforts
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Experience within marketing, brand management/activation, content creation, socials
Retail and/or similar background preferred.
Gritty, innovative, reliable, influential and possess a high EQ
Minimum 3 years of experience in events or local (Berlin/Germany) connectivity marketing.
Local to the market you are supporting
Being ingrained in the local market sneaker culture, basketball/football and know the voice of our core sneakerhead consumers is highly preferred
You have solid connections in the local market
Ability to act as a leader, work well independently and remotely from team leader and peers
